Usually, rhizomes of peonies have been on sale since February, and, having acquired the delica, many gardeners doubt whether it will survive until the fall planting. Therefore, they ask themselves: how to plant peonies in spring? And most importantly, how to hold this event.
The best time for landing
It is generally accepted that the best time to plant a seedling is autumn: the land is definitely warmed up after the summer, but there is no steady heat, which does not contribute to the rooting of the future bush. This flower is able to grow suction roots not only in autumn but also in spring. 
The main thing is to have time to establish a stable warm weather, otherwise the shoots will grow, not allowing the root to take root. If you decide to plant a plant in the spring, then the period when you can plant peonies is considered to be April.

Is it possible in the spring?
Planting a future bush immediately after thawing of the soil, you risk no more than when planted in the autumn, because often saplings planted in the autumn, who had time to plant buds, freeze or sprout out with the wrong cover. Like any other plant, the grown bush will look depressed for the first time after planting: the quickly appeared shoots will take away the energy of growth at the root, therefore the period of engraftment of spring seedlings lasts longer.
Choosing a place and weather
Remember that in a shady place a plant will not bloom magnificently. Also, its development will be harmed by a landing, close to any structure, since the walls and fences will reflect the excess heat for the bushes. Lowland planting, especially with a high groundwater storage, also does not lead to abundant ovaries of buds.

Lighting and temperature
For disembarking delenok, choose a poorly blown place with a penumbra in the afternoon. It is worth planting peonies when the positive weather stays stable already for a couple of days, as the plant may not suffer a sharp temperature drop in spring. 
Soil for planting
This plant prefers loamy soil. If the soil in your area is acidic, slaked lime will help make it suitable for planting rhizomes. Also, before planting the plant must provide a good drainage system.

Choosing delenki
Correctly chosen, high-quality planting material is already half of such a thing as a successful spring peony planting. Check with the seller how old the bush was from which the delenka was taken. The best option is to plant peonies from a young bush, up to 7 years: such rhizomes are visually and not thin, and not coarse. At least 4 renewal buds and a pair of adventitious roots are also required. With visible damage to the planting material from such a purchase should be abandoned. 
On the packaging of the delenka should be marked:
- name and description of the variety;
- the number of delenok;
- landing instructions;
- mark of quality control.
Important! For the bush to bloom magnificently for many years, in the first year after planting, tear off all the buds that started.

Pit preparation
The pits for planting future bushes are prepared deep enough, wide and at a distance of at least 1 m. At a depth of about 70 cm a layer of drainage is laid. Then pour a layer of fertilizer and humus, while filling the hole in half. Sprinkle the layers with earth, and at a depth of no more than 10 cm they leave a depression for planting rhizomes. 
Technology and circuit
Plant the rhizome so that the occurrence of kidney renewal is 2-3 cm below ground level. Well tamp and spill the ground. Over time, when the soil begins to subside, pour the ground so that the buds are covered.
Important! If peonies do not bloom for a long time, the bush may have been planted very deep.
Aftercare
Further care for the peonies planted in the spring is the same as after the autumn planting. In the first days after planting, the peonies need regular watering: in the spring it helps a lot to take root in the seedling. Also, do not forget to mulch and feed the next bush, given that young bushes need additional feeding, because all the power goes to the formation of stems.
