From plastic bottles
The most common and affordable way to arrange vertical flower beds with your own hands from improvised means is to use for these purposes plastic bottles of 2-2.5 liters. Before they need to wash and remove the labels.

Then the container is cut in half, we need the top half with a lid. It is necessary to make holes in it and thread wire or twine in them - this will be the mount for hanging on a vertical surface. Then the ground is filled up and the seedlings are planted.

This design is inserted into the bottom of the bottle and suspended on the harvested place. Bottles can be placed horizontally. Vertical flower beds for petunias can also be made from a regular canvas bag. In order for the earth not to wake up through weaving, a plastic bag can be laid inside. Along the edges should be stitched loops for hanging and cover the ground.
On one side of the bag, holes are cut through every 20 cm, flowers are planted in these "pockets". The design is suspended in the place chosen in advance. As such containers, you can use old bags, briefcases.

PVC pipes

You can also plant nasturtium, clematis, ipomeyu, lobelia, spicy herbs and even strawberries in vertical flowerbeds.
Next, you need to plant seedlings in the holes made. You can also plant plants with seeds. Then they mix with the soil, which is subsequently poured into the pipe. The sprouted sprouts find the nearest hole and sprout into it. With the help of pipes you can equip high fences and hedges.
From containers
You can also arrange an original flower bed of their flower containers. It can be done in two ways. For the first, an armature is necessary, which is driven into the ground, and a flower pot is put on it, earth is poured and a plant is planted. The next pot is worn at an angle relative to the first.
So the steps are repeated to the top of the reinforcement. Instead of reinforcement, you can use twine or wire, then the upper end should be hung somewhere.
Important! For such structures, it is recommended to use a light substrate, so as not to overload the already shaky structure.
The second method is suitable if your site has an old dried tree. From it you need to remove all the branches and leave only a part of the trunk, on which they attach the containers with screws. 
From old pallets
This method is often used for decorating arbors, balconies. The result is a semblance of a picture of flowers. Inside the tank it is necessary to fix the net and seal it with straw or non-woven material. The tank is filled with soil, to which moss-sphagnum can be added, it will function as a moisture accumulator. The last step is sown seeds or planted seedlings. The box is installed vertically at the wall.
Screens of flowers
Screens of petunias can be made with most of the methods described above. Structures made of scrap materials should be suspended in the opening, arch or in advance prepared support. So you can place plastic bottles, PVC pipes, flower containers. As the flowers grow, they will fill the entire space of the opening and, over time, will create a living screen that will serve, for example, to separate zones on your site.
