Novice breeders often seek to diversify the menu of their pets.
They begin to experiment with various additives, including fruits and cereals. Some wonder if rabbits can be fed rice. But the answer to this question will be ambiguous.
Can rabbits give rice
Rice is ground and steamed (brown). Steamed rice is more useful, since it contains a lot of useful substances, much more than in polished. However, vitamins and fiber to feed a full animal will still not be enough. But this cereal is indispensable for diarrhea, as it has an astringent effect. 
But polished rice to enter into the diet of animals is generally contraindicated. After grinding, only starch remains in such grain, which provokes fermentation processes in the gastrointestinal tract - therefore, on the contrary, it can cause diarrhea. After all, as you know, eared have a weak digestive system. Some breeders in the event of diarrhea do not even try to treat a sick individual, but simply slaughter it so that the disease does not hit the entire population. Rabbit rice is generally categorically contraindicated, as polished, and steamed.

If you still decide to try to introduce rice into the diet of an animal, you should immediately point out one more restriction: you cannot give raw cereal at all. After such feeding, gastrointestinal problems will almost certainly begin. 
Steamed
You can try to add a little crushed steamed cereal to succulent green food. To start, add a little bit and watch the animals.
Find out what grain is better to give to rabbits, and also whether it is possible to feed them with bran and bread.
If it normally transfers such a menu, then proceed at your own discretion. You can try to repeat the experiment, although it is better not to risk this way anymore. 
What grains can rabbits
The following crops are best suited for feeding rabbits:
- Oats. Can be whole, flattened or crushed.
- Corn. Grain must first be crushed, soaked in water. You can make corn porridge, or give in conjunction with other foods.
- Barley. Grain must be crushed or flattened.
Also to the grain can be attributed feed, both granulated and loose. You can enter in the diet soaked wheat bran, mixed with green fodder, as well as cake and meal.
Important! All grains contain not enough fiber and practically no calcium. Feeding rabbits with such food is fraught with obesity and possible problems with teeth.
It is unequivocally possible to conclude that it is best to feed rabbits with their traditional food: grass and hay, some types of legumes, juicy vegetable feed, and mixed feed. As for rice, it is not recommended to enter into the diet, like most cereals. Such food, at least, will not bring benefit.
