You can check the quality of imported products in Ukraine after they are sold in retail chains. This opinion was expressed by the head of the testing department of the Research Center for Independent Consumer Expertise "Test" Nina Kildiy. "Very often, customs control is reduced to the verification of documents, and not to analysis for a huge list of all indicators that may relate to product safety," the expert noted. According to her, in the situation with imported products, quality is the most difficult to track down: before obtaining an expert opinion, similar products can already be sold in retail. Products of the non-food group can be postponed or withdrawn from the trading network in the event that a marriage is detected. At the same time, Nina Kildiy noted that the products of the domestic manufacturer should be monitored by Derzhprodzhozhivsluzhba, but she already responds to violations after the consumer declares a low-quality product.
However, according to the expert, fines or bans on products of unscrupulous manufacturers are an effective mechanism in the struggle to improve product quality. Recall that about a year ago, tones of dangerous chocolate bars of Mars corporation, which could contain plastic, were imported to Ukraine.
