Instructions for use of the drug "Enrofloks"

Successful breeding of chickens is impossible without the use of antibacterial and anti-infective agents. Among the many drugs intended for the treatment of agricultural poultry, Enroflox is popular 10%, which affects various types of microorganisms. Based on the manufacturer's approved instructions for use, we will tell you about the medicine and the dosages it needs.

Did you know? The main reasons for the death of chickens, especially the daily allowance, are poor-quality feed, unhealthy diet and bacterial diseases, provoked by poor conditions of the poultry.

What is Enrofloks: composition and release form

The drug "Enrofloks" is made by the Spanish manufacturer "Industrial Veterinaria S.A.INVESA" and is registered in veterinary medicine as antimicrobial solution for oral use, having an effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

The medication contains the active ingredient enrofloxacin, which contains 100 mg per 1 ml of the preparation, and auxiliary components, which are benzene alcohol, potassium hydroxide, distilled water.

Means is a liquid solution of a yellowish shade, a transparent consistence. Available in plastic bottles, with a capacity of 100 mg, packed in cardboard boxes, as well as in plastic bottles with screwed lids, complemented by the control of the initial opening.

Pharmacological properties

Active substance medication enrofloxacin, which, according to the instructions, refers to the fluoroquinol, affects the microorganisms of the following types: Staphylococcus, Pasteurella, Bacteroides, Mycoplasma, Campylobacter, Haemophilus, Pseudomonas, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Actinobacilus,, Escherichia coli, Corynebacterium, Actinobacilus, Martinobacher, Escherichia coli.

In the body of warm-blooded animals and poultry, the drug blocks DNA gyrase enzymes, preventing malic acid from being produced in a bacterial environment. As a result, a failure in DNA synthesis occurs.

The use of Enroflox is accompanied by a good absorption of the active substances of the drug in all tissues and organs, as well as the suppression of the development of microbes. In the blood, the highest concentration of enrofloxacin is reached one and a half hours after application and persists for 6 hours. A therapeutic dose is retained in the tissues throughout the day.

In addition, the active component is partially metabolized to ciprofloxacin. Removal of the drug from the body occurs with urine and feces.

Did you know? Due to lack of fresh air, chicks may develop chronic respiratory illnesses. Therefore, the premises where chickens are kept are recommended to be ventilated several times a day.

Indications for use of the drug

"Enrofloks" is recommended for replacement young birds in the treatment of colibacillosis, mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis, streptococcus, necrotic enteritis, infections of the mixed and secondary type, other bacterial diseases, the pathogens of which are sensitive to fluoroquinol.

For the treatment of diseases of chickens use such drugs: "Solikoks", "Baytril", "Amprolium", "Baykoks", "Enrofloksatsin", "Enroksil".

Doses and method of use

Drug treatment prescribed only for chickens. The device is not recommended for adult chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese in connection with elements missing for such therapy. The solution of Enroflox, as indicated in the attached instructions for use, is introduced into the body of the bird by oral means.

During the treatment period, the livestock should receive only water diluted with medicine. It is poured into a regular clean drinker, which is placed in a place accessible to the whole brood. Repeat the procedure should be within 5 - 6 days, changing daily drinking. To ensure proper consumption of the drug, you should consider the daily intake of water by chicks.

The manufacturer recommends to dilute the drug for different types of poultry in the appropriate doses. For example, 50 ml of Enroflox per 100 liters of water is used for broiler chickens, goslings, turkey poults, ducklings, 5 ml / 10 l for ordinary chickens.

Other birds, including exotic ones, are treated with a solution in the same proportions as for small turkeys. During the period of taking the drug, it is important to ensure that the population is constantly monitored and maintained. If we are talking about individual diseased individuals, they must be kept in the barriers inaccessible to healthy chicks.

In chronic diseases with salmonellosis and mixed infections, as well as in cases of severe viral infection, veterinarians advise the amount of Enroflox to be increased, counting the dosage in the ratio of 100 ml / 100 l of water.

Important! If you have missed any medication, the course is resumed, following the doses indicated in the instructions.

Warnings and special instructions

During the period of treatment, which is often delayed for a week, experts strongly recommend limiting the long-term stay of chickens in direct sunlight.
