Fertilizers from human remains will soon be legalized in the USA

Senator Jamie Pedersen revised the decision to turn human remains into fertilizer for plants. Behind his words, he had already received many letters, in which it was stated that people wanted to help nature, become a "tree" or a "bush." Now, the state of Washington in the United States will soon be able to become the first place where, along with cremation, the so-called "human composting" will be allowed.

Studies on composting bodies have already been carried out on dead donor bodies, which, during their lifetime, voluntarily agreed to this. "Compost processing" was carried out at the Lynn Carpenter-Boggs University in Washington. Human remains were processed by special bacteria, which were placed in a sterile chamber, under the strict supervision of university staff.

According to the senator, the bill is now being reviewed and, with approval, it will be adopted on May 1, 2019.
